Facebook has many pages and groups which promote rape and make jokes about it. As survivors, friends, and family of survivors, we are not amused. In fact, we find it disgusting and have asked for them to be removed. 

With titles like “It’s not rape if you like it,” and “Screwing your girlfriend while she’s asleep,” and “Life is like rape, it’s horrible but you might as well try to enjoy it,” these pages promote brutality against women, men, transgendered, and interesexed people alike. 

Facebook needs to remove these pages so that ignorant and mentally unstable individuals aren’t encouraged to act out on their depraved feelings and urges. These people need help—not a public forum to spout their dispicable jokes and stories.
